Did you know neuroplasticity is the secret in improving your child's brain growth?
We naturally create connections between our brain neurons when we learn something new. This helps rewire our brains and adapt to new circumstances. So your brain's ability to rewire, relearn and strengthen meaningful brain connections is called neuroplasticity.
Though this happens to everyone, it is found at a greater level in children. So we can encourage and stimulate it for kids via neuroplasticity exercises. And thus improve their cognitive abilities.
Every child has 100 billion neurons in their brain upon birth, and their brain is constantly growing and changing. By age 2, the brain's neurons have more than double the number of brain connections in an average adult.
But slowly, as they grow up, these connections tend to prune away and form their unique patterns and connections.
The first five years of life are critical for neurological development. So this time is crucial to harness the neuroplasticity, which helps strengthen the neurons and their connections in the different brain areas.
